Announcing Magill Report FFL Season 5!

By Ken Magill
It’s that time of year again. What time? Magill Report Fantasy Football time!
The Magill Report Fantasy Football League is the one place where email-marketing vendors can talk smack and try and kick the crap out of each other without trying to steal one another’s accounts.
This will be the fifth season of Magill Report Fantasy Football. We’ve now got enough history for some nice grudge matches. I will be reporting on them extensively.
As usual, last year’s team owners have dibs on this year’s slots. There will be fourteen teams.
If you want a team, send me an email at Once last year’s team owners have had some time to respond—like a day or two—remaining available slots will be awarded to qualified team owners on a first-come, first-served basis.
To qualify, you must represent a marketing-services provider and have permission to use the company name in your team name.
The Draft
A couple team owners groused last year because I refused to conduct a live draft. How they thought I could wrangle fourteen team owners spread out across North America into one agreeable date and time is beyond me.
Once again, there will be no live draft for season five of the Magill Report Fantasy Football League. It will be automatic.
To those who are irritated by the lack of a live draft, I apologize. But a live draft simply is not feasible.
What’s at Stake
Why, your honor of course. And your reputation in email marketing circles and within your company. No pressure.
But let’s talk about what’s really important.
As has been the case every year, the champion of the Magill Report 2014 Fantasy Football season will win a beautiful crystal trophy from Crown Awards and a regulation-sized Lebanon bologna football from Dietrich’s Meats in Krumsville, PA. Mmmm. Mmm.
If the winning team is located on the East Coast above Virginia, I will personally deliver the spoils.
Good luck everyone!
