Announcing The Magill Report's 'Ask an Expert'

03/01/11

By Ken Magill

Me? No, I’m not an expert. I’m just a guy who has been able to barely manage his unhealthy relationship with alcohol over the past 15 years and soak up just enough knowledge to sound reasonably intelligent when writing about email and online marketing.

But I’ve been doing this long enough that I know a ton of people who really know what they’re talking about. Why they put up with me, I’ll never know.

But put up with me, they do.

Also, though there’s a core group of email marketing folks that is reasonably static And there are a bunch of people rotating into the industry on a constant basis who need answers to questions a lot of experienced folks think have been answered ad nauseum.

As a result, I’ve decided to launch an ask-an-expert feature in The Magill Report.

If anyone has any questions about email and online marketing, just send them to KenMagill_at_gmail.com, and I’ll get them answered and keep your name out of it, unless you want to be named, that is.

No question is too small, stupid or insane. In fact the smaller, stupider and insaner, the better—especially insaner. The Magill Report loves insane.

Obscene and insulting questions that are mainly personal attacks against me are fine, too.

For example: “How did you come to be such an asshole and why does anyone take you seriously?” is a perfectly reasonable question for The Magill Report’s Ask-an-Expert feature. After all, who would be more of an expert on my evolution into pure assholery than me? Or better yet, I could turn the question over to my wife, who would certainly have an informed opinion.

So you see? The Magill Report Ask-an-Expert feature is a wide-open forum.

So, come on folks. Ask away.

Terms: Feel free to be as big a jerk as you want, but don't attack anyone other than me personally. And don't criticize people or companies other than me anonymously. Got something crappy to say? Say it under your real name. Anonymous potshots and personal attacks aimed at me, however, are fine.
