Three Email Execs Launch Consultancy
By Ken Magill
Morgan Stewart, whose former title was principal, marketing research and education for email service provider ExactTarget, has launched a consulting-and-research firm with two other email professionals.
Dubbed Trendline Interactive, the company will be based in Stewart’s home town: Austin, TX.
Joining Stewart in launching Trendline Interactive is Andrew Kordek, who most recently was responsible for the strategy, execution and analysis of the email marketing program at consumer discounter Groupon.
Michele Allen Souder, who most recently managed email strategy for North American Membership Group and who spent some time at Bigfoot Interactive before it was acquired by Epsilon, is also a co-founder.
According to Stewart, who is the firm’s chief executive, Trendline Interactive’s business plan is to focus on high-level, email-focused strategic consulting.
“Companies are saying to us: ‘We need to take this to the next level,’” he said.
Trendline Interactive will also sell custom research, Stewart said.
He added Trendline Interactive already has several contracts with “Fortune 1,000” firms, who he declined to name. He did disclose, however, that Web- and video-conferencing concern Premiere Global Services is a client.
Stewart left ExactTarget on Sept. 17. Trendline Interactive launched on Sept. 24. Stewart said he left ExactTarget on good terms.
